Vienna Photographic Society receives 3rd Place out of 36 Camera Clubs in Photographic Society of America (PSA) Nature Competition!

PSA Projected Image Division: Images by Julie Cochran, Urscia Mahring, Barbara Saffir, Lori Saunders, Ceasar Sharper, and Kathrin Swoboda received 59 points placing VPS in 10th place out of 23 clubs in a recent judging at Renovat Foto Sint-Truiden, a camera club in Belguim. VPS is in 8th place overall. Congratulations go to Urscia Mahring for Honorable Mention for "Last Light" and Kathy Swoboda for Award of Merit for "Cardinal Downbeat".

PID has 2 more rounds of competition. The next entry opportunity will be  February 1-10 through the website's NEW "People's Choice" competition. Members will vote for their favorites and the top 6 will move onto the PSA Interclub Competition.

Reminder: PID is an OPEN category so ALL images allowed: nature, portrait, travel, photojournalism, etc. Post-processing with photoshop or other software programs is allowed but not required. Each member may enter 1 image. I encourage all members to enter an image into the next competition.

PSA Nature: Images by Patricia Deege, Mary Jane Fish, Lori Saunders, Gloria Spellman, and Kathrin Swoboda scored 61 points placing 18th of 34 clubs judged at Paisley Colour Photographic Club in Scotland.

Overall we are 7th place with one more round to go. Please gather your finest nature images for the final round deadline March 13!
